Boat Show

John, Grandpa Jim, Addy and I strolled around the Denver Boat Show today.

Sand Sculptures

This boat made it from Baltimore to Annapolis in
10 minutes!

Addy enjoyed "driving" boats that cost more than our house

If you act know you can actually get this one on sale for $96,000

I picked out this cute little black and white outfit for Addy to wear today but she insisted on wearing a Bronco's shirt like Mommy so I had to put her jersey over it.

Sooooooooo tired!
She looked so uncomfortable with her little head bobbing around that Grandpa helped her out on the ride home.

The Wonderful World of Pooh

I couldn't help myself! It was either that or "Princess Has A Thrown" and since it is a Winnie the Pooh potty, Pooh won out.
Addy got her first potty today and she is soooo excited about it. She pestered us the whole time we were putting groceries away asking us if we could open up her potty. As you can see she supervised the assembly and the chair was submited for QA right away.

I love the effect on these pictures. I think it makes the collage look circa 1970.

2.0 Pics

I have had a bunch of pics on my cell for the last couple years that I have never done anything with...till now. Here are some of my favorites.

New Year's Snapshot

We enjoyed a fondue feast picnic in the family room during our New Year's countdown. We fondue'd steak, chicken, shrimp, cheese, veggies accompanied by Hawaiian bread, spinach dip and curry sauce. Yum!
For dessert we made smores by the fireplace.
Addy giggled at the Madagascar movie and nibbled at some bread and cucumbers, but she was out cold by 10pm and missed the smores.
We watched the ball drop in New York curled up in front of the fireplace and then headed off to bed. It doesn't get much better than that!
Happy New Year Everyone!

I'm Not Sure, But....

I think my daughter is a spy!
I moved the tables in the kitchen out of her way today so she could ride her "bike" around.
She drove around talking on her tinkerbell cell phone talking to someone:
"Hello...Hello"
"The table's moved....The TABLE!"
"Mommy moved the table...Mommy did, no MOMMY did"
"I don't know"
"Huh, okay, okay, bye"

She wouldn't tell me who she was talking to but I think Addy and Santa have some sort of agreement. I may end up with coal next year.

Toddler Theater

Grandpa Jim and I accompanied Addison to Sesame Street Live! Elmo Makes Music at the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland. Aunt Chris and Uncle Jim bought her tickets to the show for Christmas. Addy was mesmerized. She watched the whole show with barely a fidget.

At the intermission a guy walked up to the stage holding a couple hundred of these Elmo balloons. Every kid in the place went gaga for them. Addy and I waited in line, Addy getting more excited the closer we got to the Elmo's and I gladly (ha!) handed over the 8 dollars, yes 8 dollars, for the balloon.

As we were walking toward the event center Grandpa Jim was explaining to Addy that we were going to go see Elmo...

Jim: "This is where Elmo lives. This is Elmo's house."

Addy looks at him, looks at the building, looks back at grandpa

Addy: "That's a big house."

Sooooo funny!

Thanks Auntie Chris and Uncle Jim!

Big Girl Bed

Mommy and PopPop spent the afternoon putting Addy's new big girl bed together. Addy was the designated supervisor (shortly after she got underfoot and was accidentally hit in the head with a support piece.) Addy liked the bed when Rachel first put her on it. But the real fun started when Addy first saw her new PRINCESS BED. John and Rachel had given Addy a choice of bedding - Elmo, Mickey Mouse or Princess. Princess was the definite winner.

I kept Addy occupied while Rachel and PopPop took the crib down, moved furniture around, and put on the new sheets and blanket. When Rachel called her back into the room, Addy's reaction was priceless. She was so excited and so thrilled with her 'Pincess bed'. She sat on the bed, got under the covers, patted the Princesses, counted the Princesses, pulled the blanket up, then down . . . She couldn't get enough. The rest of the afternoon, she'd suddenly stop what she was doing, grab the hand of whomever was in the room with her, and go show them her new Princess bed. And the first thing she said to daddy when he got home? Pincess bed!! Getting her to bed tonight was too easy. She could barely wait until 'sleepy time'. Sweet dreams, Princess Addy.

Pony

When Rachel got home yesterday, she found that Auntie Tanya had left a little present for Addy on the porch. The bag was almost as tall as Addy with what looked like a mop handle sticking out.

Not a mop. A unicorn pony! It was instant love from Addy.
She hugged it and kissed it and after she got the hang of what to do with the pole, she happily rode it all over the house. Addy can't say 'unicorn' so she calls it her 'popcorn pony'. Thanks, Auntie Tanya! Popcorn Pony is a huge hit.
