Teletubbies

A week and a half ago I decided to conduct a little experiment. I wanted to see if Addy would be interested in a TV show geared toward her age group. I turned on Teletubbies and as the opening music began to play she stopped what she was doing, turned toward the TV, and did not budge for 30 minutes! She was fascinated, and still is, by these odd little creatures.

She claps with joy when the show comes on. She laughs and dances along with them. She puts her hands out and shrugs, as if to say "where did they go" when the Teletubbies disappear off the screen. At the end of the show a disembodied voice announces "it's time for tubby bye-bye" and they each take turns waving good-bye and Addy is sure to wave back to each one, but as they disappear into their home she knows it is the end of the show and she begins to cry (every time. I, on the other hand, am grinning and thinking "yeah, it's over!"). I hug her and tell her that they will be back again tomorrow and that seems to satisfy her...'till tomorrow.

My Momma

Yesterday was my momma's birthday. I helped her eat pizza and open her presents.Grandma let me eat mom's carrot cake (yum!) and Dad helped me give mom her traditional birthday spankings. I like giving spankings. Happy birthday Momma!

Every other Wednesday Addy and her cousins, Alyssa and Brooke, are at grandpa's house together.

And as you will see they have a blast together!

Whenever someone asks me how Addison is doing I answer with "she is just gorgeous!"

It is hard to capture the true color of Addy's eyes in pictures. John considers them hazel but to me the are just a gorgeous green.

I am amazed at how patient she is with this.
