18 Month Sweet-Sweet Spring Shots

I am amazed that the photographer got any good shots today. She was not thrilled about having a male photographer but he was very patient and took the time to play with her until she warmed up to him. Each one of these shots is taken in between rolling a soccer ball back and forth with either the photographer or me. Good Times! { Yes that is a Tinker Bell cell phone in her hand. She has barely put it down in the last 24 hours}

A Visit From Grandma & Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa stayed with us for a few days last week during their trek across the states. Addy is starting to remember them between visits. The first morning she woke up she went straight for Grandpa's lap, which made his day!





1..2..3! Addy realized that we take pictures on the count of three. She will sit with a blank look until you say THREE! and then she strikes a pose!

Duckies!

I found these great LED rubber duckies in a store in downtown Loveland. The motion of the water makes them light up with different colors. It's a light show in your bathtub! I'll let Addy tell you more about them...

Bubbles

It has been so nice this week. Addy has been able to play outside everyday and John has fired up the BBQ again. Hopefully tomorrows snow storm will be the last one of the season because we are really enjoying the warm weather. It is bubble weather!

Playing Dress-up

Miss Addy loves playing dress-up. She brings me hats and shoes and asks me, actually insists, that I help her put them on.

She will drag out clothes from her room and pretend to put them on, usually just managing to wrap them around her neck like a scarf.

One of Addy's Croc's made a run for it, we've put out an APB with no luck so far. Addy walks around the house with the remaining one on like Cinderella.
(I've actually started calling them her slippers because it reminds me of Cinderella.)

Boogie Baby

Addy was go, go, go today. She was up at 0830 this morning, played outside, went swimming, and only had 45 minutes of intermittent sleep. It took some effort for John to get her to go to sleep at 10 o'clock this evening. As you can see she was in good spirits and feelin' the music!

I couldn't resist posting these photos of Addy from Matt and Chris's wedding. In addition to being the prettiest one-year old there, Addy was a perfect angel all day. And no, I'm not at all biased. Why do you ask?

Addy loves rubber duckies and I found this giant ducky at Walgreens and had to have it.
Addy lit up when she saw it and played with it most of the day, walking around the house saying duck, duck, duck!

Denver Auto Show

Yesterday we spent the afternoon strolling around the Denver Auto Show. We are in the market for an SUV with room for two kids and grandparents.. and we just like to admire cars we will never be able to afford! It is nice to be able to go to one place to check out all the cars we are interested in.

The Ford Element behind Addy actually has a contoured back seat with an infant car seat!

15/16 Month Check - Up

Addy is feeling much better! Her rash has cleared up and she is getting her energy back. Addy is now 21 lbs 11 oz and 32.5 inches tall. She is continuing in the 95th percentile for her height and 25th percentile for her weight. Addy recognized the doctors office as soon as we walked in this time and wasn't too thrilled about being there. She wasn't sure what was going to happen but she was pretty sure she wasn't going to like it...and she was right. Poor Addy had to have two immunization shots. She is going to refuse to walk in there the next time!

New Baby News

The due date for Addy's sibling has been moved up to October 25th (slight calculation error by the new CNA at the doctors office!)

Initiated

Addy's fever progressed Sunday night and as John was giving her some medicine before bed she returned the gift with a curdled chaser, all down the his side! I came home on my lunch break and tried to give her some medicine and got the same reaction, all down my side! I stayed home the rest of the night to curl up with her and clean up the rest of what she had in her little tummy.

Monday we went to the doctor and she determined that Addy just had a little virus. Even though she was feeling so rotten Addy hardly fussed and lifted her head off my shoulder long enough to smile and wave at everyone she passed.

Addy is doing much better today but she now has a rash covering her torso. The doctor said this would happen, I hope it doesn't last long.

I have now had every gross little baby fluid wiped, sprayed or splattered on me . I have been initiated into Mommyhood!

Easter

Addy woke up Easter morning with a fever but you could hardly tell.
She was in good spirits all day.
